Nana Bibata

People are an integral part of our triple bottom line. And, since we began calculating our profit in the investment we can make in people, we have invested in 146 Kiva loans in 43 countries.  It’s been a great run and we’ve enjoyed getting glimpses into other entrepreneurs’ lives.   We’ve enjoyed it so much we’ve found ourselves wanting to know more.

As we launch into 2016 we’re excited to announce that we’ll be transitioning some of our investments to a new microloan company:   Zidisha It's the first online micro-lending community that directly connects lenders and borrowers — no matter the distance or disparity between them.   We’ll learn a lot more about the people we’re empowering and, by eliminating the high fees charged by Kiva’s field partners, we’ll both be better able to leverage our investment.

Without any further ado, meet Nana Bibata.  She is the first entrepreneur we’re investing in and we look forward to her success.
